Burden Of Sin & Our Remedy
Matthew 11:28 "28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Jesus was rebuking the cities that He had done great miracles in for not believing in Him in this chapter of Matthew. It started with John the Baptist wavering in his faith & telling his disciples to ask Jesus whether He is the Messiah. Jesus talked abt His miracles to him. Then after the disciples left, Jesus began to talk abt John the Baptist being the greatest prophet born of woman. That John was the Elijah in spirit.
This message is important bcos John testified of Jesus being the Messiah & Saviour of the world. The miracles Jesus did also pointed to Him being the true & living God the Son, the Saviour of the world. This is VERY IMPORTANT guys & gals bcos Jesus Christ is the true Messiah & Saviour. There is none other under heaven by which we can be saved! Pls repent & believe that Jesus is Lord of all. Pls accept Jesus Christ as Lord & Saviour of your lives on this side of the rapture. Or it might just be too late.
But u will still be given a chance in the Great Tribulation. God is ever so gracious to us. It's just that u might have to face the wrath of the Antichrist & God's wrath at the same time. Finally it ends with this para:
25 "At that time Jesus answered and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. 26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matt. 11:25-30 (NKJV)
Are u in labor & heavy laden? Jesus will give u rest from the burden of sin. U dont have to bear your own sins bcos Jesus bore it on the Cross. Isaiah 53:4-6 "4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."
He took our sins on His body & cleanse all our sins with His precious blood. Matt. 26:27-28 "27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new F144 covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." His blood was shed for the remission of our sins. We are redeemed from our sins to become children of God. But one has to receive this by faith. Have u accepted Jesus Christ as Lord & Saviour today?
