Hole in Ozone Layer Now the Size of North America
Damaging Chemicals Persist in Atmosphere, Despite Ban on Manufacture

(Oct. 20) - The so-called "hole" in the earth's protective ozone layer is at a new record -- 10.6 million square miles of sky around the South Pole -- even though most nations agreed back in 1987 to phase out the chemicals that cause it.

The number was reported today by U.S. government scientists, who said protecting the ozone layer was still clearly the right thing to do, but that it's taking longer than originally expected for the ozone layer to heal. A 10.6 million mile gap in it is about the size of North America.

Personal note: Sign of the times. This is just one birth pang before the coming rapture & tribulation. The world has no more time. My nephew might not grow up to be an adult but he will grow up in the kingdom of God. I certainly wish he could but at the rate things are going, even if he did, people like his generation might inherit a broken earth. I just pray Jesus comes back soon to help us. He is here to help us not destroy us or the earth cos there's 1000 yrs of kingdom rule by Him. He will then shoulder the govt upon His shoulders & rule justly & fairly. He will restore the environment. Jesus loves us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Amen.
