Antichrist: The Contemporary Data

www.redmoonrising.com

Please see the Important Note at the bottom

The 20th century has seen the decline of traditional Christian beliefs and the rise of the seemingly all-inclusive, multi-dimensional belief system known loosely as "New Age" spirituality. Helena Blavatsky and Alice Bailey were two of the most well known organizers of this movement in the early part of this century (and they will be referred to throughout this article). Blavatsky founded the Theosophical Society and Bailey, later a president of the TS, founded the organization known as the Lucis Trust, which has counted as members men of great influence such as David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Paul Volker and George Schultz (1). Blavatsky and Bailey were avid trance-channelers who claimed to receive messages from spirit entities (2) and both recorded many predictions that were made to them regarding the inevitable appearance of "The Lord Maitreya" or "The Christ" on the earth immediately prior to earth's initiation into the utopian "New Age."(3) Because these women engaged in the biblically-forbidden practice of spiritism and because the messages they received were deeply anti-Christian, mocking and ridiculing traditional Christianity, bible-believing Christians have understood that the appearance of the man whom Bailey and Blavatsky predicted was not a reference to the second coming of Jesus Christ, but was in fact a prediction of the future Antichrist.

A man by the name of Benjamin Creme, a self-described disciple of both Blavatsky and Bailey, appears to have taken over where they left off. Through his early studies of their works he became convinced in the reality of the "Ascended Masters," (the supposed inter-dimensional beings who direct humanity's evolution), and claims that in 1959 he was first contacted by them. According to Creme's biography... "He was told, among other things, that Maitreya, the World Teacher -- the Master of all the Masters -- would return in about 20 years and that he (Creme) would have a role to play in the event if he chose to accept it." Creme claims that he has been in constant telepathic contact with "Maitreya the Christ" since the early '70s and that Maitreya finally entered civilized society privately in 1977 when he materialized in human form and took up residence in a suburb of London.(4) Since then Creme has traveled the world, giving lectures and appearing on talk shows, to prepare the world for the public emergence of Maitreya.(5) He also claims that a major American television network has agreed to interview Maitreya at a time of Maitreya's choosing.(6)

One major aspect of Creme's mission was the formation of Share International Foundation and the publication of it's monthly self-titled magazine. Each issue contains a brief synopsis of the emergence of Maitreya on the first two pages and then a brief message that has been trance-channeled through Benjamin Creme from an Ascended Master known simply as "The Master" on page three. The spiritual thrust of SI is clearly obvious in each issue that is published. Despite this fact, or perhaps because of it, SI has a long list of prominent, well respected international diplomats, religious leaders and political figures who have had articles published in this magazine. They include articles written by former UN leader Boutros Boutros-Ghali; present leader Kofi Annan; former President of Ireland Mary Robinson; Gro Harlem Brundtland who is director-general of the World Health Organization and former Prime Minister of Norway; the Dalai Lama; and recently even Britain's Crown Prince Charles.(7) Even though the average man on the street would most likely dissolve into hysterical laughter upon being presented with the beliefs of Creme and Share International, it is easily shown that this magazine is well-respected and taken seriously by many influential members of the Global Elite. In fact, Share International Foundation is accredited as an official non-governmental organization (NGO) by the United Nations,(8) and the magazine, as stated on the inside cover of each issue, is published by SI "...in association with the Department of Public Information at the United Nations."

Creme and Share International are both intimately connected with a number of New Age groups including the Freemasons (Creme often lectures in Masonic halls), the Tara Canter of Hollywood, CA, the Theosophical Society, the Lucis Trust (which maintains the official UN "meditation room"), and World Goodwill, an organization created by the Lucis Trust and also recognized by the UN as an official NGO. World Goodwill also actively promotes the appearance of "Maitreya the World Teacher" in their literature and on their website. (9)

Maitreya claims to be "The Christ" returned, yet there are many aspects of his character and many of his predictions (as given by Creme) which fall in line with the bible's predictions of the coming Antichrist and the events that will surround the end of the age. For instance, Maitreya predicts many natural disasters and a period of violence and destruction prior to earth's entry into the New Age (10); he warns that the worldwide capitalist financial system will be overturned (11); he predicts that a new world religion will be established under his guidance and that he will be aided by a future leader of the Roman Catholic Church (12). Regarding the current problems between Israel and the Palestinians Creme has stated that when Maitreya appears he will solve them, saying, "I believe Maitreya alone has the spiritual authority to point to the solution and achieve its implementation." Most Christians understand that the final seven year period of earth's rebellious history begins with a covenant that will involve the Antichrist and the nation of Israel. (13) In addition to these facts Creme says that Maitreya may be rejected by intolerant "fundamentalists" (Christians and Jews), and "The Master," an unnamed being who also speaks through Creme, warns of people who will reject Maitreya based on "scriptural warnings which they all too readily misinterpret." (14) (This researcher is doing his best to interpret them correctly.)

Important Note

It must be understood that it is very unlikely that the world will ever see the appearance of a figure who will be publicly known as Maitreya. Certainly this sounds strange after examining the evidence that has been set forth, but this statement is not simply this researcher's personal opinion, rather it comes from Benjamin Creme himself. Before elaborating we should first examine the historical source of the "Maitreya" tradition.

Maitreya is a name that comes from Buddhism, and it is a Buddhist prophecy that a figure by this name would appear on earth as the next Buddha. The prophecies of Maitreya first appeared in the third century AD in India and they actually predicted that he would appear as a bodhisattva in 30,000 years or so when Buddhism was in a terrible state of decline. Of course it has not been 30,000 years since the prophecies were given and Buddhism is hardly in a state of decline, yet Creme is able to dance around these problems and continues to promote Maitreya as the genuine fulfillment of the Buddhist prophecies. For more on the traditional Maitreya please go here- http://sangha.net/messengers/maitreya.htm

This enigmatic spirit being which Benjamin Creme claims to be in constant contact with, claims to not only be the fulfillment of Buddhist prophecy, but also of Muslim, Hindu, Jewish and Christian prophecy. Because Maitreya is a uniquely Buddhist name, and in an effort to appear unbiased towards any specific religious tradition, Creme has claimed that when his mentor does appear on the public scene as the World Teacher he will be known by a totally different and unique name that is not associated with any one religion.

This important point is given at this Share International web page:- http://www.shareintl.org/background/FAQ/faq_main.htm#name

So is Maitreya the Antichrist? Before giving a yes or no answer we must realize that, from what Creme says, perhaps this is not exactly the question that we need to be asking. A more appropriate question to ask would be:

"Is Benjamin Creme and Share International, along with other New Age groups and various prominent world personalities, working to prepare the way for the real Antichrist, whatever his name will be?"

The answer to this question, as evidenced by the research of this website and from the sources given, is a resounding YES! These groups and these various influential world power-brokers are working to set the stage for the coming Antichrist. He will not appear on the scene without friends and without a supporting infrastructure. In fact Revelation 17 indicates that the Antichrist will be supported by the ten most powerful men on the planet! They are described as ten kings, ten men who "...have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast." And what of the role played by Benjamin Creme? Why would the Antichrist need someone to set up organizations, take out newspaper adds, appear on talk shows and travel the world giving lectures on his behalf? The answer may appear when one compares the ministry of Jesus Christ with the career of the Antichrist. They are strangely similar in a number of ways:

- Both have "ministries" that last three and a half years, Jesus from age thirty to age thirty-three and a half, while the Antichrist is given power and authority over the earth for forty-two months (Rev. 13:5-8).
-Both operate within a trinity, Jesus being the Son, alongside God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, while the Antichrist operates alongside the Dragon who is Satan, and the False Prophet, a counterfeit who works to bring mankind to worship the Antichrist (Rev. 13:11-18).
-Both are killed and resurrected, with the Antichrist suffering a fatal wound and then being miraculously healed with the whole world looking on in astonishment (Rev. 13:3).
-Both are born directly of their spiritual fathers. Jesus from God himself through the virgin Mary, and the Antichrist from Satan himself.

And by examining the role of Benjamin Creme the similarities continue: Jesus was preceded by a man who was called by God to publicly and loudly prepare the way for Him. This was John the Baptist. The Tara Center has produced a documentary and promotional video called "Breaking the Biggest Story in History" that focuses on Maitreya and Benjamin Creme which opens with these words,

"For over twenty years, a man whom some call 'a modern day John the Baptist' has been travelling the globe, telling audiences that the Second Coming of Christ will not be a celestial spectacle in a distant future, but it is instead a real event, unfolding since 1977 behind the scenes of everyday life, and signifying the reappearance of a great spiritual teacher for all people..."

It is the firm belief of this Christian researcher that Benjamin Creme is indeed fulfilling the role of a counterfeit 'John the Baptist' by publicly announcing the message of the imminent appearance of the Antichrist. It would be terribly irresponsible to simply dismiss him as a quack or a loon, and everyone, Christian or not, should examine his predictions and his ideas and should pay serious attention to the many supporters who continue to flock to his side. If Creme is indeed laying the groundwork for the Antichrist that was predicted by Jesus and God's prophets, then we can expect this trend to continue and to intensify, and for more and more people to publicly support Creme and his message.

For an article that gives a very personal and credible account of Maitreya and the Ascended Masters please take the time to read this one by Creme disciple Wayne S. Peterson. Unfortunately Peterson has completely accepted the deception- http://www.shareintl.org/archives/AgelessWisdom/aw_wpexperiencing.htm

A recent interview with Peterson can be heard on the Coast-to-Coast-AM audio archives (06-24-00). The intro to the show reads, "Wayne Peterson has come forward to speak about his extraordinary experiences with influential world figures. He asserts that many of them believe, as he does, that a group of highly evolved spiritual teachers are about to make their presence known on a worldwide scale. Mr. Peterson explains how these teachers, lead by one referred to as the World Teacher, will show us how we can solve our most difficult problems and build a new civilization." Mr. Peterson mentions several world leaders who he claims are disciples of Maitreya. link- http://www.coasttocoastam.com/topics0600.html

EVIDENCE #2 - 70 WEEKS PROPHECY

From: http://www.geocities.com/stat23mj/prophecy/pretrib.html

Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. (DANIEL 9:24)

Gabriel spoke the 70 weeks prophecy to Daniel. Daniel was praying to God (DANIEL 9:1-19) asking him what is his future plan for Israel because the 70 years of captivity of Israel by Babylon (JEREMIAH 25:11-12) were drawing to an end. God sent Gabriel to reveal his plans for Israel. Daniel 9:24 reveals that the 70 WEEKS were for ISRAEL ONLY. Look at the scripture - SEVENTY SEVENS ARE DECREED FOR YOUR PEOPLE (Daniel's people - Israel) AND YOUR HOLY CITY (Jerusalem). Seventy sevens are 490 years on Israel's prophetic timeline. After this Israel's transgression will be finished, Israel's sin will be put to an end, everlasting righteousness will be brought in, vision and prophecy will be sealed, and the most holy (Millennial Temple) will be anointed. All this will happen after Jesus Christ comes back and the Jews will look on the one "whom they pierced. (ZECHARIAH 12:10)"

Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. (DANIEL 9:25)

The decree to rebuild and restore Jerusalem is none other than the one given to Nehemiah in Nehemiah 2:1-10 by Artaxerxes. Here Nehemiah asks the Persian king if he can go to Jerusalem and rebuild it. Sir Robert Anderson in his book THE COMING PRINCE said, "The Persian edict which restored the autonomy of Judah was issued in the Jewish month of Nisan. It may in fact have been dated the 1st of Nisan, but no other day being named, the prophetic period must be reckoned, according to a practice common with the Jews, from the Jewish New Year's Day. The seventy weeks are therefore to be computed from the 1st of Nisan B.C. 445." Later Sir Robert Anderson computed the date to be March 14, 445 B.C.

FROM THE ISSUING OF THE DECREE TO RESTORE AND REBUILD JERUSALEM UNTIL THE ANOINTED ONE, THE RULER, COMES, THERE WILL BE SEVEN 'SEVENS,' AND SIXTY-TWO 'SEVENS.' So exactly 483 prophetic years (7 X 7 = 49 years; 62 X 7 = 434 years; 49 + 434 = 483 years) the Anointed One will come. The Messiah was of course JESUS CHRIST and the only time in his three year ministry that he was publicly proclaimed as Messiah or King was when he rode into Jerusalem on a young donkey (colt or foal of a donkey) riding alongside his mother not knowing that the one that her son is carrying is the KINGS OF KINGS AND LORDS OF LORDS. When Jesus came into Jerusalem and people were putting palms on the floor, it fulfilled Zechariah 9:9 and Daniel 9:25 to the date (April 6, A.D. 32). Later Jesus wept because the Jews didn't recognize the time of the Messiah's visitation (70 weeks prophecy) and because of this Jerusalem was destroyed in A.D. 70 according to Jesus' prophecy in Luke 19:41-44.

After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the ruler that is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. (DANIEL 9:26)

After Christ rides into Jerusalem, he is cut off or killed. He is crucified to fulfill the prophecy of the Suffering Servant in Isaiah 53. AND WILL HAVE NOTHING also reads BUT NOT FOR HIMSELF meaning that Jesus Christ will not die for himself but for the sins of the world. So after, 69 weeks or 483 years, the Messiah will ride into Jerusalem on a donkey and shortly after he will die for the sins of mankind. THE RULER THAT IS TO COME is none other than the Antichrist and since the PEOPLE OF THE RULER destroyed the city (Jerusalem) and sanctuary (Herod's temple) in A.D. 70 are ROMAN so the Antichrist will probably be ROMAN! Verse 26 notes a gap between the 69 weeks and the 70th week. This is the church age even though Daniel didn't foresee it; he only saw a gap - THE END WILL COME LIKE A FLOOD: WAR WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE END, AND DESOLATIONS HAVE BEEN DECREED.

He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. (DANIEL 9:27)

The Antichrist (HE) will come and CONFIRM a covenant with Israel which guarantees their protection for seven years even though he will break it in the middle of the Tribulation. Since the 70 weeks prophecy is for Israel (DANIEL 9:24) then the final week (7 year Tribulation) is for ISRAEL. God obviously deals with one dispensation at a time. First it was Israel, then the Church. The focus of the Tribulation will be ISRAEL. Jeremiah 30:7 says its the TIME OF JACOB'S TROUBLE. This obviously is proof that the 7 year Tribulation is for ISRAEL only not the CHURCH for it isn't the TIME OF THE CHURCH'S TROUBLE but JACOB'S TROUBLE referring to Israel.

We Have To Drop Our Apathy Towards The End Times

Hello friends, Christians etc, we have to stop feeling apathetic towards the end times & bible prophecies regarding the end times. We are now living in the last of the last days & if we still arent interested in what is happening to our world, it might be too late to do anything already. But i know God has already prophesied in the bible what would happen & apathy is one sign. People will go about their daily lives as if the world won't end & sticking our heads in the sand as if everything will turn our all right.

I pray Christians from all over the world will pray for our future & future of Israel bcos satan is going to attack hard in our areas & lives, esp towards the Jews. He hates the Jews particularly & the Christians generally. If u are a Christian, there is no escape from the battle or persecution. However Jesus promises that we would not be tempted beyond what we could bear but do we don't care abt Him & His sayings at all? I think we should read the bible more often, pray more often, go to church more often etc etc. We want to be found doing God's work when He comes again. We don't want to be left behind or rebuked or chastened.

When after intense prayer in tongues, Jesus spoke a verse to my mind. It's John 16:33 - "33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will F91 have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." Arent true Christians undergoing severe trials & tribulations nowadays? If u are not undergoing any, i suggest u check whether u are right with God bcos satan won't test a lost person or heck cares abt lukewarm Christians. If u are a faithful Christian, i am sure u have your fair share of tribulation from the devil & his minions & i am also sure God in Christ has given u peace & good cheer & overcoming. Be glad that we are being tested as fire tests gold or silver.

1 Peter 1:6-9: "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not seen F1 you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith--the salvation of your souls."

Yes, brothers & sisters in Christ, let us be found to praise, honor & glory at His revelation. Keep going on & keep looking up, brethren! God bless u!

EVIDENCE #1 - IMMINENCE OF THE RAPTURE

The timing of the Rapture is unknown. Paul writes in his letter to the Thessalonian church:

Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. (1 THESSALONIANS 5:1-6)

In the previous chapter, Paul was comforting those in the Thessalonian church who feared that those who are dead in Christ will not get raptured (I THESSALONIANS 4:13-15). But Paul said that they will be resurrected (1 THESSALONIANS 4:16) and will precede those who are alive in Christ. Finally those who are alive in Christ will be "CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. (1 THESSALONIANS 4:17)" So we can deduce from 1 THESSALONIANS 5:1-2 that Paul is talking about the Rapture. So the Rapture CAN HAPPEN AT ANY MOMENT.

Jesus WILL COME LIKE A THIEF IN THE NIGHT. Jesus himself said, "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. (MATTHEW 24:42)" Jesus also said that no one knows the day or the hour of the Lord's coming. No man, no angel and not even the Son, Jesus Christ knows but only the Father (MARK 13:32). Paul in 1 THESSALONIANS 5:1 didn't need to tell about date-setting for it is pointless because the Lord will come like a thief in the night at an hour unexpected just like in the days of Noah when they were eating, drinking, partying, and SINNING (MATTHEW 24:37-38). Those people LIVED FOR TODAY but for the wrong reasons. Instead of living for God they lived for themselves and it was until the rain started that they realized THEY WERE WRONG.

Paul says that we have the light which is Jesus Christ and we should always be watchful, alert, and of self-control lest we be caught unaware when that day comes. Since the Rapture is PRE-TRIBULATION, it causes Christians to lead holy lives in expectation and preparation that the Lord will COME AT ANY MOMENT! When the church loses focus of this then it becomes carnal and spiritually dead. Other rapture views say that the Pre-Trib Rapture gives believers a false security BUT on the contrary it makes believers lead right lives before God or else they will be LEFT BEHIND! Live for God NOW not when you realize it is too late and you have to live during the dreadful seven year Tribulation. John 3:2-3 says, "Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure." THIS IS THE BLESSED HOPE, THE RAPTURE WHICH PURIFIES THE BELIEVER BY HAVING HIM/HER LIVING FOR JESUS NOW INSTEAD OF IN THE TRIBULATION WHEN FACING PLAGUES, THE MARK, AND MARTYRDOM.

ARE YOU PREPARED TO SPIRITUALLY WITHSTAND A FAKE RAPTURE?

Subtitle: The Illuminati now claims to have the technical capability to stage the Rapture. They might just carry it out in order to throw extreme panic, confusion, and despair into the hearts of genuine Christians just before their beloved Masonic Christ arises. Learn how to protect yourself, your loved ones!

Stand by for insights so startling you will never look at the news the same way again.

HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGES FROM THE SKY

New World Order planners can possibly "take over the world by projecting holographic images into the sky while beaming thoughts directly into our heads, telling us to accept the new 'god' of their design." ["HAARP: The Ultimate Weapon Of The Conspiracy", by Jerry E. Smith, p. 15; New Age adherent]

"I have learned that the [New Age] Movement has devoted a great deal of research and attention to the use of holographic images. These are three-dimensional images created in space by use of laser beams. David Spangler said in a meeting in Southfield, Michigan, February 1, 1982, that laser beam projectors had been installed for use on top of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Episcopal, in New York City.

"I talked to lighting experts to see what laser beam projectors are capable of and I was told they can be beamed onto telecommunications satellites. The New Agers have several of these at their disposal. When the lasers bounce from the satellite back to earth, the light rays can be bent in such a manner as to appear that flames are coming from the sky. These satellites can also be used to project a three-dimensional holographic image viewable by up to one-third of the earth's population. There is even technology to make the image speak in the language of the areas to which it is beamed." ["Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow", pg. 24, published in 1983]

Scriptural Prophecy: "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world..." (Rev 12:9)

We believe the Illuminati may be planning history's greatest hoax: a fake Christian Rapture.

Islam's Silent Inroads

From: http://www.olivetreeviews.org

September 20 --> Posted to Jans_eUpdates for September, 2006

September 20 - Islam's Silent Inroads As Islamic expert Avi Lipkin recently told me, Islam will make inroads in quiet ways as well as revolutionary ways. The quiet or evolutionary means will be by gaining power in high places in America and elsewhere and changing the nation and the world from within without firing a shot.

The United Nations is seeking a successor to the throne of the corrupt Kofi Annan whose term expires the first of the year. There are numerous candidates, some named and some who have not yet been presented. They are saying the next Secretary General must have zero tolerance for corruption and mismanagement. Annan has appeased some of the world's most vile men, in a sense confirming the U.N.'s "unique legitimacy" on them to show how "fair" he is. Doing so with Saddam Hussein, Fidel Castro, Hezbollah leader Nasrallah, and Iran's Achmadinejad has created a "throw the bum out" attitude and get someone who can properly lead, though the corruption and dictator-coddling is rampant throughout the entire U.N.

There are many in the running and some who will emerge in the coming weeks and months. However, the frontrunner is from Jordan, and a Muslim. He is a cousin to King Hussein, Prince Zeid al-Hussein. Stop and comprehend a Muslim leading the world as you watch the bizarre, and as Avi Lipkin calls it, the "psychosis of Islam" in present and past temper tantrums that kill innocent nuns and riot over every imagined offense. Even America's U.N. ambassador, John Bolton, favors al-Hussein.

On a lower level, my raging blue state of Minnesota and our Democratic Party have just nominated for U.S. Congress a "former" member of the Nation of Islam who has defended membership in the Bloods street gang and called cop-killer Abu-Jamal and Sara Jane Olson "freedom fighters." His name is Keith Ellison-Hakim, and he would represent Minnesota's fifth district.

Ellison-Hakim has ties to Louis Farrakhan's anti-Semitic Nation of Islam. He has already accrued at least an estimated $35,000 in funding from CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations, a dangerous outfit designed to make Islam in America look benign. He calls for the impeachment of President Bush and is, frankly, a Muslim radical. And it is projected that he will win this liberal district.

Ellison-Hakim's relationship to the Nation of Islam is being mostly kept out of the left-leaning Minneapolis Star-Tribune and St. Paul Pioneer Press. However, even the local Jewish newspaper in terrible delusion endorsed Ellison-Hakim claiming he is a "moderate Muslim." They actually buy the lie that this man "extends his hand of friendship to the Jewish community and supports the security of the State of Israel." Nothing could be further from the truth.

Ellison-Hakim's campaign color is Islamic green. His appearance seems designed to make him look like a younger Farrakhan. He has been profoundly impacted by Farrakhan's sickening ideology today.

Islam is making inroads in all levels of government including homeland security. The Left embraces them and even praises them, and is such a state of delusion that they cannot see truth. To have Islamic leaders running the U.N. or entering the U.S. House of Representatives is just a step in the process of the Islamization of America and the world through "evolutionary means" rather than "revolutionary means."

New Age Pathways In The Church

From: www.letusreason.org

By now, there should be no doubt that the new age movement has permeated the culture with its beliefs and practices. Year after year the public has become more exposed to its teachings through the TV, magazines and the spiritual trends in society used by the populace (yoga, meditation, relaxation techniques for our stressed out lives.)

This new spirituality that was once underground, practiced by a few in the 60’s and 70’s is now one of the most popular lifestyles, many of its tenets and practices are now accepted – even by the church. In fact many in the church promote out right new age occultism without barely a challenge.

Both My wife and I came out of the new age movement and we were practicing nearly the same type of spiritual exercises that are now being used inside portions of the church, the only difference were the terms used to identify the practice. To see this taking place is very disturbing. What makes it more dangerous is that those who are promoting these endeavors do not want to listen to others who have been down this path before they became Christians. They ignore their warnings and reject the facts and try to undermine the person.

While many Churches identify the culture as postmodern, at the same time they are willing to adopt the cultures practices to reach the culture. This means whatever is influencing the culture can more easily come into the church because we are adopting its ways. Previously what is spiritually harmful has been coming through the backdoor instead of the front. Now it’s knocking on the front door, and many are answering it by opening it and inviting it in. This is done because of a lack of judgment on leader’s part. While everyone is making a fuss about the Da Vinci code released to persuade the public on Christianity we have not recognized what is taking place in our own living room – the church. We are not to be unaware of the schemes of the Devil, his strategies of distractions. In one sense there is an all out assault publicly at the same time he makes a subtle progressive push in other areas. This is where we are missing it.

...
...

Mediation and other methods are a very quick way to be introduced to a new world view and it will certainly not be a Christian one. In fact one new age practice leads to another as one pursues spiritual growth by these methods. That is my personal experience, you see it has to, for one to go deeper and to the next level of intimacy.

Why has all this become popular in our day unlike any other? We need to understand the enemies intent to water down the church and have it look no different than the world, but still have it look spiritual. The more we seek these new methods the less we will be effective in answers and explaining or even presenting the gospel. As we watch these things taking place we need to be aware of those who are holding to the faith that is presented to us in the Bible and those who bring in something very different to have us change.

People will always chase the new thing[s] down wherever they are not holding to and practicing the old thing accurately- God's eternal word. Ancient it may be, but it is the truth that stands the test of time, to all cultures and all generations, and that is what our focus should be on.

I Am Hoping For The Rapture In 2006

I was hoping that the last trump will sound this Rosh Hashana or Feast of Trumpets recently just past. To my dismay, i am still here. But there is still a high probability that the rapture might occur in 2006. So many events point to the imminent rapture of the church. Even the bible code shows 2006 as the date of the apocalypse (refer Bible Code 2 by Michael Drosnin & www.satansrapture.com). US & Israel might go it alone to attack Iran within these 2 months by Oct & this might just unleash the Ezekiel 38-39 prophecies of Gog-Magog war. With this war, the return of Christ Jesus is very imminent & the rapture might just happen by then.

Altho the rapture doesnt have to happen on a Jewish Feast Day but ppl have been telling us that a very probable date for the rapture is the Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashana. That's why i was watching for this date. But still, no man knows the day or hour. Keep looking up brethren! The rapture might just occur this year 2006. Do u know it's already the 40th anniversary of Jews regaining Jerusalem in 1967? That's according to the Jewish calendar. A whole generation has passed since 1967 if u take 40 yrs to be the life span of a generation (cf. generation of Israelites in the Exodus wilderness etc). Keep looking up Christians for our redemption draws nigh! Jesus is coming again quickly.

The Post Rapture Survival Guide

The purpose of this manual is twofold:

First of all, it is to warn those who receive this manual prior to the rapture of the events that will take place in the last days as foretold in the Bible. Based on what the Bible has to say about future events, nobody in their right mind would want live on earth after the rapture. Hopefully, many will read, believe, seek God, repent and be saved. Salvation is very simple, so simple to attain, in fact, that most people cannot accept its simplicity; thereby reject it completely. However, it is complex because it is life-changing and based on that which we cannot see; it is based on faith. Simple, because Jesus does all the work. If you want to be saved and have eternal life, simply pray in belief and humility to Lord Jesus:

"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and ask you to forgive me of my sins and prepare for me a new heart. I surrender my life to you."

Secondly, to those left behind after the rapture, this is indeed a survival manual. You still have an opportunity to repent and have eternal life. The same prayer of salvation is applicable to you; the only difference is that you will spend a little time experiencing a taste of hell while you remain on earth.

Let me be really frank with you. If you are reading this manual and the rapture has already occurred, then you probably are not going to physically survive; you most likely will die sometime un the next few years. This manual is about the survival of your soul. You are going to go through terrible suffering. The only question that remains is whether you will go to Heaven or go to hell when you die.

Definition: Rapture--This is the event that will occur when Jesus calls His followers (both gentile and Jewish believers) with a trumpet blast, and in the "twinkling of an eye" they will be removed from the earth and transported to be with Jesus in the heavens.

The Bible: Can We Trust It?

Since the Bible claims to be the only inspired Word of God, it has become the focus of many attacks. The critics of the Bible have tried to discredit it by chipping away at its authority and credibility.

The Bible is not without its difficulties. After all, some of its older books were written 3,000 years ago in a radically different culture than our own. There are cultural barriers to overcome as well as contextual issues to consider when delving into the Bible. Nevertheless, there are those who sit in judgment of God's Word.

The first major attack against the Bible began with what is known as "higher criticism." It arose in Germany around the end of the 17th century. The promoter of "higher criticism" insisted that the Bible was a human product, brought about by the church to express what individual men had to say about God.

The folks who pioneered the "higher criticism" of the Bible did not believe that Jesus was the promised Messiah, the incarnate Son of God. To transmit their unbelief to their intellectual peers, and from them to the general public, the higher critics did their best to remove people's faith in the Bible.

In the past few decades, the enemies of God have declared open warfare on the Bible. Anyone who doesn't believe in the authenticity of Scripture is given an open forum to launch an attack. It is very important to defend the Word of God against these critics. If a falsehood is allowed to stand, it can become regarded as truth by default.

God Is No Fool

My final defense of the Bible is the statement that God is no fool. If he is the Lord of the universe, there would be no reason why He would allow His Holy Word to be monkeyed with by common man.

God has spoken through prophets directly and indirectly through scribes and psalmists, and all were under the influence of the Holy Spirit. The message remains clear because the Lord has protected it at every step.

The Lord’s protective hand is one reason some people see the Bible as a collection of random events. They don’t see the invisible Creator guiding everything from Genesis to Revelation.

Paul, the Apostle and great hero of the faith, had this to say about those who see the Bible as anything other than the very Word of God:

“For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Cor. 2:11-14).

God has given us all the evidence we need to find the truth. If we reject God's Holy Word without weighing the evidence, not only are we fools, but we are fools with no valid excuse.

THE ONE WORLD ORDER: THE CONSERVATIVE CHARADE

I thot Singapore is an authoritarian state with the media controlled by the govt. With the opposition always being put down & news favouring the govt always in the papers. Now even US is following suit. Thousands of clueless disciples, in what propagandist Michael Medved calls “the greatest nation on God’s green earth,” tune in daily to get conservative views as opposed to the big, bad, ugly, deceitful ‘liberal’ lies. Folks, it is orchestrated opposition...

Speaking In Tongues

From: http://www.apostasynow.com/articles/tongues.html

1 Cor 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

Let me first of all assert that I am a classic Pentecostal when it comes to the gifts of the Spirit. I pray in tongues, often, and have done so for 28 years. I have received the above scripture as check against judging against or looking down on those who cannot or do not speak in tongues. I make no "tongues test" for anyone, and I UTTERLY REJECT that doctrine of Pentecostalism which makes tongues into the proof of salvation.

However, anyone who denies that tongues is AVAILABLE to "some" in this age, is also rejected by me: they are indeed accusing me of mocking the things of God, and/or of being a lunatic, and/or of being demon possessed.

THOSE WHO DENY that any Christian can speak in tongues anymore often resort to the argument that tongues are always earthly foreign languages. Then, of course, if the tongue speaker does not speak in an actual foreign language, he can be accused of either nonsensical OR blasphemous babbling, or accused demon possession

1 Cor 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. {5} And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. {6} And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. {7} But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. {8} For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; {9} To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; {10} To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

Now in order to say that the gift of tongues has already "ceased", you must also say that all these other gifts have ceased. There are those "Quasi-Cessasionists" who say that only tongues and prophecy have ceased. The Greek of the above text does not contain an equivalent word for "divers" (meaning diverse): but it is evident that the Apostle has more than one type of "tongues" in view. I acknowledge that the Holy Ghost may inspire a man to speak in an earthly foreign language that he never learned, but I will prove below that the tongues spoken of in Acts 2 and 1 Corinthians 14 were NOT earthly languages, and that none of these gifts have "ceased" as far as God is concened.

1 Cor 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

SO MUCH FOR THOSE who claim that the legitimate gift of tongues is always a foreign language. NO MAN UNDERSTANDETH HIM. Certainly it couldn't be said that "no man understandeth him" if there was an earthly foreign language in view: for then, "some man" would be able understand.......

It is also worth noticing that the word "unknown" is not in the original Greek - what do you suppose made the KJV translators think that the word "unknown" should be in this text? Could it have been that the context of the entire chapter requires that the tongues being spoken of here will be "unknown"?

Please read carefully......

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. {5} And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. {6} Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. {7} And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? {8} And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? {9} Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, {10} Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, {11} Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

NOWHERE does it actually SAY that they SPOKE in known FOREIGN LANGUAGES.

Look back again, and make sure.........

It says that the crowd HEARD in their own languages.

Now consider, if the 120 were all shouting away in 17 DIFFERENT languages at one time:

It would have been a confused uproar, and little would have been understood. 1 Cor 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion,...............

But some would have God to be "the author" of THIS "confusion". Please take a moment to imagine what it would sound like, if you were in the presence of 120 people, all praising God aloud at the same time in 17 different languages. Ask yourself, did God equally divide the 120 into "language groups", so that there were approximately 7 people speaking each language? Who could be understood? Can 7 people be heard above 113? Is this not "confusion"?

THERE WERE 2 SEPARATE MIRACLES WROUGHT BY GOD IN THIS EVENT

1. Miracle of tongues on the 120

2. Miracle of interpretation on the 3000

The Cretans did not hear any Arabian, and the Ethiopians did not hear any Greek.

Acts 2:8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

They only heard in their OWN LANGUAGE. They did NOT hear any OTHER languages.

Almost the entire case used by the Cessasionists is built on this unwarranted distinction that they make: that there are 2 completely different gifts of tongues being referred to in Acts 2 and 1 Corinthians 14. One gift, being the ability to speak in unlearned earthly languages, and the other, to speak in unknown languages. (I know that "unknown" is italicized in the KJV). But that is exactly where the confusion comes from. You make the gifts of tongues in Acts 2 and 1 Corinthians 14 into a single item and all the confusion is gone. There is no sign in any scripture on tongues that there are 2 completely different gifts being acknowledged. The indefensible proposition that there are 2 completely separate gifts of tongues has always caused the problem with sorting out 1 Corinthians 14.

Acts 2:8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

George Ricker Berry, Greek-English NT TR text:Acts 2:8 "and how 2we 1hear each in our own language?"

The confusion is in the identification of "every man" - does "every man" refer to the speakers or the hearers? Is "language-tongue" plural or singular?

Berkeley (1947) "How is it, then, that WE each hear THEM in our native speech...?"

"Each" is the hearers, and "speech" is singular.

NEB (1961) "How is it then, that we hear THEM, each of US in his OWN native language?"

"Each" is the hearers, and "language" is singular.

AMP (1956) "Then how is it that we hear, EACH OF US in our OWN (particular) dialect to which we were born?"

"Each" is the hearers, and "dialect" is singular.

They "each" heard ONLY their own native language. They heard "them (all)" speaking in their own language. They did not hear any other language.

1 Cor 14:13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.

Now...if this was just an ordinary foreign language, why should the tongue speaker pray that HE (himself) should interpret? Why would God give a man a gift of tongues in a church-meeting in a human foreign language that NO ONE THERE UNDERSTOOD???

No, Dear Friend, tongues has always been the same, and always sounded the same. I know a guy in Japan. He says that when the Japanese pray in tongues, it IS ALMOST IDENTICAL to the sound of Americans who pray in tongues. I do not doubt that God can inspire a man to speak in a foreign language that he never learned - but that is NOT what happened on the Day of Pentecost, and that is NOT the gift of tongues that is referred to throughout the book of Acts and in I Corinthians 14.

HOW TONGUES SOUND:

1 Cor 14:14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

Tongues is the spontaneous and uninhibited speech of the spirit. You could say, a form of "baby talk". Baby MAY know what he means, even if you don't. God knows what baby means and wants, even when baby doesn't know why he's distressed. Sometimes even we know what baby means. Tongues by-passes the rational judgements, and is a pure expression of the person's spirit. Just think of how hard it is to be honest when you pray.

When people first begin to speak in tongues, they may truly sound "infantile", and may seem to repeat the same phrase over and over again. The repetition is because they are expressing the ONE THING they need the most right now again and again, or because they are self-consious and restrained. The infantile and forced or strained sound comes because they are trying to control WHAT they are saying or what they sound like out of self-consciousness before others, or because of their own sense of "dignity".

Experienced tongue speakers who have quit trying to "sound intelligent", do sound like they are freely speaking in a language, because they are.

1 Cor 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

There are only 2 kinds of tongues this Bible acknowledges as existing. One is the language of men, and the other is the language of angels.

I propose that tongues is the language of angels. It is not gibberish, but it takes a while to "learn" to pray fluently because of the temptation to force yourself to sound some particular way. This is why that all fluent tongue speakers, no matter what nation they are from, sound very much alike.

One day, when I was praying in tongues, I noticed that there were no "R's" in my speech. I became self-conscious, and tried to make myself pronounce a few "R's", Subsequently, I became very strained and felt phony. I sometimes, but rarely pronounce "R's" when I pray in tongues. Whenever I become "self-conscious" about the lack of "R's", I begin to stumble.

HOW:

You just do it, if you need to, and because you want to, and because AND IF you can. I felt NOTHING the first time I prayed in tongues. I was baptized in the Holy Ghost 6 months LATER, and I did NOT speak in tongues at that time. Some, through fear of "faking it" may need a little "push" by the Holy Ghost - they will "feel something". But even those who were overwhelmed the first time they spoke in tongues will admit that they are not overwhelmed every time they speak in tongues. Speaking in tongues, like every other operation of the Spirit, is received and done BY FAITH.

Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. {10} For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. {11} If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? {12} Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? {13} If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

The context of these words from The Man Who Does Not Lie requires that we account the graces of the Holy Spirit as being particularly indicated here. The Devil and our Cessasionist "friends" would have us believe that we are in danger of ending up with a rock (useless), a scorpion (harmful) or a serpent (deadly).

1 Cor 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

So much for those who say that we no longer have any need for tongues, or that it was only for a sign to unbelievers. "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue EDIFIETH HIMSELF". The need to be edified continues.

1 Cor 14:5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. To say that this was only addressed to the Corinthians is to also say that God put this whole long chapter in the Bible just to cause confusion and arguments. Paul doesn't say you MUST speak with tongues, but he certainly does NOT denounce speaking in tongues.
1 Cor 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. How PLAIN must the apostle be? "FORBID NOT TO SPEAK WITH TONGUES".

1 Cor 14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.

Once again, the doctrine that makes tongues "the sign" of salvation is not Biblical. They are not a sign of anything to us, but they are a sign of something to the unbeliever: especially if there be an interpreter, or if the man is gifted to interpret, himself. ALSO, tongues are the constant sign to the unbeliever that "these people have got SOMETHING", (whether good or bad), and it disturbs and presses them to decide about this Christian religion.

1 Cor 14:23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

And NO.....a whole group of people in an open meeting are not to speak in tongues all at the same time. This is one of the errors I left behind in the Pentecostal Churches I was formerly a member of. If God adds the miracle of interpretation on the hearing of those "unbelievers", then that would be different. It is evident, from Paul's words about "interpreters", that some can or may understand what is said. HOWEVER a room full of people who are all known believers may PRAY in tongues at the same time. There is a difference between PRAYING (for yourself) in tongues, and SPEAKING in tongues for the purpose of interpretation. The tongues are the same, the object is different.

Now that apostates and heretics CAN pray in tongues, is declared and proven in chapter 18 of TGD: however, they are praying AGAINST themselves. There is also a demonic mimic of tongues, but this doesn't happen to anyone who fears God and wants to be saved. Remember what The Man Who Does Not Lie said.

Hope this was satisfactory to you. It answers all the questions for me.

Sheik rejects pope's gestures to Muslims, calls for holy war against 'this little racist'

The VaticanJERUSALEM – Pope Benedict XVI's apologies for worldwide reaction to his remarks about Islam and his invitation today for Muslim leaders to meet with him next week are "mere diplomatic acts" and prove the pontiff does not really regret his words, a prominent Gaza Strip preacher told WND.

The Vatican

Sheik Abu Saqer, leader of Gaza's Jihadia Salafiya Islamic outreach movement, which seeks to make secular Muslims more religious, called for holy war against the pope.

He said Christian leaders such as Benedict are "afraid" because they realize Islam is Allah's favorite religion and they are going to hell unless they convert. The Gaza preacher declared the "green flag of Muhammad" would soon be raised over the Vatican.

"We did not need the words of the pope in order to understand that this is a Crusader war against Islam and it is our holy duty to fight all those who support the pope, who follow him and who did not condemn what this small racist had to say," said Abu Saqer, speaking to WND from the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis.

"The day will soon come when the green flag of La Illah Illah Allah (There is no god but Allah) and Muhammad Rasul Allah (Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah) will be raised upon the Vatican and all around the world and on the fortresses of those who want to destroy Islam, because they know that this religion obliges them to face the truth that Islam is Allah's favorite religion. And until they join Islam, hell is their last station," Abu Saqer said.
(Story continues below)

The Gaza imam was responding to a speech last week in which the 79-year-old pope quoted Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus, who wrote, "Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

The pontiff last Sunday said he was "deeply sorry" for the reaction to his comments and said Wednesday the emperor's words did not reflect how he himself felt. He said the intent of his remarks were to call for a dialogue on the role of religions in modern life.

The Vatican this morning reportedly invited ambassadors from Muslim nations to meet the pope Monday in a bid to calm anger that has spilled over into international Muslim protests.
Last weekend, Palestinians wielding guns and firebombs attacked five churches in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including Anglican and Greek Orthodox churches in the north Samaria city of Nablus and a Greek Orthodox church in Gaza City. A group calling itself the "Lions of Monotheism" claimed responsibility for the church attacks, saying they were carried out to protest the pope's remarks.

Abu Saqer said he rejected the pope's stated apologies.

"He did not apologize. He said everything but an apology, which proves these are diplomatic acts and not a feeling of being sorry."

Abu Saqer claimed he did not condone violence. He blamed the pope for recent anti-Christian attacks in the Palestinian territories.

"We are deeply sorry for these acts that we condemn," he said. "But I am sorry that this little racist did not think of the consequences upon the Christians in the Arab world when he insulted our prophet. It is an open war – the Muslims against all the others."

Asked to respond directly to Paleologus' observations about Muhammad and Islam, Abu Saqer replied, "About your stupid question about our contribution to civilization, did not you read about who were the pioneers in medicine, in mathematics, in astronomy? Did not you hear about Averroes and others?

"I am not reading poetry, I am saying the truth. Islam, it is not the source of violence. Who is occupying by force and violence Iraq and Afghanistan? Who is occupying Palestine? Who occupied for years the black people and turned them into slaves while one of the first leaders of Islam was the black Bilal Ibn Rabah?"

Continued Abu Saqer: "Violence is a result of lack of faith. See the Western society and culture. See what free sex brings to your Western world and then see the family cell in Islam. Even our problems in Islam come when some parts of the Islamic population want to imitate your way of life."

The Gaza preacher said the pope and the Christian world are "panicking" because they realize "who is winning."

"See how Islam is progressing and gaining more and more members and see the moral crisis in the West. See today the support of Islam in the Arab and Muslim world and how Islam is gaining more and more adherents in Europe and even in the United States and you understand that Islam is the future and that this dwarf pope was wrong. But I can sympathize with him. He is frustrated because he understands where things are heading."

Personal note: Well Christians, Jesus is coming very soon. Look up for our redemption draws nigh! Even if we have to suffer martyrdom, we will still believe that Jesus is the Christ & that there is none other. We still have the Blessed Hope to look forward to. Don't be left behind. God bless!

Queen of Peace

From: http://www.understandthetimes.org/commentary/c51_pf.shtml

By Roger Oakland

A number of articles are beginning to appear on the Internet suggesting that the current Islamic-Pope Benedict controversy may soon be resolved by a coming peace plan that will be initiated by the Roman Catholic Mary – the Queen of Peace. This plan would be mutually agreeable to Rome and Islam.

For example, you can read the following two articles:

· Our Lady and Islam: Heaven’s Peace Plan http://www.ewtn.com/library/MARY/OLISLAM.HTM

· Mary and the Moslems http://spiritdaily.com/sheenmuslims.htm

Earlier this year, Eternal Productions published a book titled Queen of All: The Marian Apparitions plan to unite all religions Under the Roman Catholic Church by Tetlow, Oakland and Myers.

I am posting chapter three as a commentary. You will find the information contained within this chapter interesting in light of current events. Please read and pass on to someone else.

Chapter Three: Queen of Islam

Think of the regions of our world today that are potential time bombs – powder kegs waiting to be ignited by some religious dispute. Can anyone imagine how religious differences could be resolved in these areas? Who alive on planet earth today could act as a mediator or diplomat that has the ability to bring about a peaceful resolution? Certainly for such an historic event to occur, a supernatural miracle would be required. There are some who are saying that Marian apparitions and her messages provide such a possibility.

While the title of this chapter may seem strange to the reader, it is appropriate, as we will see. How could the Queen of Heaven have any influence on the millions of Muslims who follow Allah? Those who have studied the Muslim’s holy book, known as the Koran, may be aware of the answer. First, the Koran portrays Jesus Christ as a prophet, unique in His preincarnate nature, miraculous birth, miracles and moral stature. Muslims revere Jesus Christ. As the Koran states:

The angels said to Mary: “[Allah] bids you rejoice in a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary. He shall be noble in this world and in the world to come, and shall be one of those who are favored. He shall preach to men in his cradle and in the prime of manhood, and shall lead a righteous life.”[1]

It is interesting to note that in the Koran, Jesus is almost exclusively referred to as “Jesus son of Mary,” rather than “Son of God.” The Koran vehemently denies that Jesus is the Son of God, yet it holds both Jesus and Mary in high esteem. More important to our context, is the fact that Mary is highly honored in both the Koran and Hadith. Muslims consider Mary the greatest of all women.[2] Furthermore, Muhammad is reported to have said that Mary reached the “level of perfection.”[3]

Muslims, like Catholics, refer to her as Our Lady (Sayyida). She is also venerated as a pure and holy saint in the Islamic world. In fact, in the Koran, Jesus and Mary are considered pure and saintly. In contrast, Muhammad is told to ask forgiveness for his sins (Suras 40:55; 48:1-2).

Mary in the Koran

Mary is mentioned no less than 34 times in the Koran. In addition, the 19th surah (chapter) of the Koran is named after her. Based on these facts alone, it is apparent that “Our Lady” is surely seen as blessed above all women by orthodox Muslims. Consider the following three quotes taken directly from the Koran:

And remember the angels’ words to Mary. They said: “[Allah] has chosen you. He has made you pure and exalted you above womankind.”[4]

The Messiah, the son of Mary, was no more than an apostle: other apostles passed away before him. His mother was a saintly woman.[5]

Whereupon [Jesus] spoke and said: “I am the servant of [Allah]. He has given me the Book and ordained me a prophet. His blessing is upon me wherever I go, and He has exhorted me to be steadfast in prayer and to give alms as long as I shall live. He has exhorted me to honor my mother and has purged me of vanity and wickedness.”[6]

Muslims and Apparitions of Mary

While it is apparent that Mary is considered by adherents of the Islamic religion to be the most blessed woman ever, does this necessarily mean that Muslims would respond to Marian apparitions or signs and wonders as many Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants do? Would Muslims listen to these apparitions and heed the messages? In order to answer this question, we can consider an apparition of Mary that appeared to millions of Muslims during the 20th century.

At a Coptic Orthodox church in Zeitoun, Egypt, a suburb of Cairo, a remarkable series of events occurred. A woman that onlookers believed was Mary, appeared in the form of an apparition, performing signs, wonders, and healings. This same woman appeared several nights each week for years. The vast majority of spectators were Muslim. Here is a description of the events surrounding the Zeitoun apparitions:

The Zeitoun apparitions…were seen by everyone present … the persons present at apparitional events there varied from several thousand to over two hundred thousand per night. Total witnesses perhaps numbered into the millions.

Several nights each week, thousands of Moslems (who constituted most of the crowds) fell to their knees on prayer rugs spread wherever space permitted, and wept before the magnificent, wondrous, glorious form of Our Lady from Heaven. All witnesses agree that the Lady seemed to be composed of light that usually was intense, yet lessened occasionally.

The apparitions of “Mary, the Mother of Jesus” were serenely animate, moving from one side of the church roof to another, as if to provide a direct view to all the surrounding throng, from which many called to her to come their way. She often responded to the singing or chanting of the crowd, appearing to bow in acknowledgment, greeting and blessing. Sometimes she made gestures of prayer, or held out and waved what appeared to be an olive branch. At other times, thousands watched her radiant form, which was often aglow with bluish white light, as she held in her left arm what certainly appeared to be the baby Jesus.

The Zeitoun apparitions seemed to affect all witnesses, including hundreds who were spontaneously healed. Many such cases have been documented by Dr. Shafik Abd El Malik, M.B., B.Ch., M.D., Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, who headed a commission of seven doctors to study the miraculous cures.[7]

A Sign to Mankind

Think about the implications – millions of Muslims responding to an apparition of Mary, falling to their knees, singing, chanting and calling upon Mary. Why did these followers of Allah respond to these signs and wonders? Why were they so sure that this apparitional woman was Mary? If events like these repeat in the 21st century for the entire world to behold, will the Islamic community follow the Queen of Heaven? While we can’t state with certainty what will happen, the following quotes taken directly from the Koran may lend some insight:

We [Allah] made the son of Mary and his mother a sign to mankind, and gave them shelter on a peaceful hillside watered by a fresh spring. Apostles! Eat of that which is wholesome, and do good works: I have knowledge of all your actions. Your community is but one community, and I am your only Lord: therefore fear me. Yet men have divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in his own doctrines. Leave them in their error till a time appointed.[8]

And to the woman [Mary] who kept her chastity, We [Allah] breathed into her of Our spirit, and made her and her son a sign to all mankind. Your community is but one community, and I am Your only Lord. Therefore serve Me. Men have divided themselves into factions, but to Us shall they all return.[9]

Unity through Signs

Not only are Mary and her son a sign to mankind, the Koran also lays heavy emphasis on signs. Here are some examples –
Momentous signs have come to you from your Lord [Allah]. He that sees them shall himself have much to gain, but he who is blind to them shall lose much indeed.[10]

Then say: ‘Praise be to [Allah]! He will show you His signs and you will recognize them…’[11]

The Hour of Doom is drawing near, and the moon is cleft in two. Yet, when they see a sign, the unbelievers turn their backs and say: ‘Ingenious sorcery!’[12]

We will show them Our signs in all the regions of the earth and in their own souls, until they clearly see that this [The Koran] is the truth.[13]

If the Koran states that Mary is a sign to mankind, and a growing number of Muslims are experiencing “Our Lady” at Marian apparition sites, is it possible that signs from a future apparition will persuade Muslims that Mary has been sent as a last days sign from Allah? Is it reasonable to speculate that the Queen, through signs and wonders, could convince many Muslims to become part of a world religion that contains the name of Christ? Time will tell.

Mary: Islam’s Faithful Example

To better understand the Moslem mind with regard to Mary, the Catholic News agency Zenit: The World Seen From Rome, interviewed Iranian Muslim scholar and theologian Sherazade Hushmand. What follows is their question and answer session which sheds even greater light onto why Muslims venerate and admire Mary:

Question: Of what significance is the figure of Mary to Muslims?

Hushmand: She is very present in the Koran, which presents her, specifically, as Mary Immaculate. In the third sura, beginning with verse 34 and subsequent ones, the Koran speaks about this aspect of Mary, about her total purity. Speaking about Mary, one of the verses talks about freedom. The woman of Hemram, who is Mary’s mother, prays to God saying: “God, I dedicate to you the one I have in the womb, and I dedicate her so that she will be free, absolutely free.” This word is used only once in the Koran, and only for Mary. This freedom is an absolute freedom from all what might be seen as sin, evil, failure, weakness. Mary is pure of all this. Then comes God’s affirmation: “I accept her.”

Question: Do all followers of Islam believe this?

Hushmand: In Chapter 66, the last verse, 12, the Koran says: “Do you want me to give you a faithful example to follow, valid for all the world’s believers?” Mary is proposed there as the example. This is very strong – because not only is Mary an example and a symbol for Christians to follow, but also in the Koran, Mary becomes a symbol and model for all believers, also for Muslims themselves.[14]

Muslims and Catholics

The Koran infers that Allah inspired the Bible, though it alleges that Jews and Christians have since corrupted the text.[15] Also, it is interesting to note that both Islam and the Roman Catholic Church believe that Allah and the God of the Bible are the same. Quoting from the Catholic Catechism we read:

The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.[16]

How will the Muslims be included in this “plan of salvation”? Could the apparitions that perform numerous signs and wonders, impact Catholics and Muslims who worship the same God? Could they possibly unite on this basis?

Insight from the influential Catholic priest Father Malachi Martin, in his best-selling book, The Keys of this Blood, may help answer these questions:

In reckoning the future of Islam, Pope Paul takes into account that as a genuinely religious faith, it preserves certain fundamental truths that the Holy Spirit reveals to all people of good will; and that, in God’s providence, Islam can be a threshold from which its adherents can be prepared to accept the only historical revelation made by God in this world. There will come a day, John Paul believes, when the heart of Islam – already attuned to the figures of Christ and of Christ’s Mother, Mary – will receive the illumination it needs. In the meantime, the Pontiff knows that Islam will stand against him and his church and his geopolitical vision.[17]

Mary, Queen of Muslims

The late Archbishop Fulton Sheen, who reached millions of viewers through his television series, believed that it would be Mary who would cause Muslims to convert to Christianity and unite under the Roman Catholic Church. In Sheen’s book, The World’s First Love – Mary, Mother of God, he comes to some startling conclusions concerning the future of Islam. In his chapter entitled Mary and the Moslems Sheen writes:

At the present time, the hatred of the Moslem countries against the West is becoming a hatred against Christianity itself. Although the statesmen have not yet taken it into account, there is still grave danger that the temporal power of Islam may return and, with it, the menace that it may shake off a West that has ceased to be Christian and affirm itself as a great anti-Christian world power... [However,] It is our firm belief that the fears some entertain concerning the Moslems are not to be realized, but that Islam, instead, will eventually be converted to Christianity – and in a way that even some of our missionaries never suspect. It is our belief that this will happen not through the direct teaching of Christianity but through a summoning of the Moslems to a veneration of the Mother of God… Missionaries in the future will, more and more, see that their apostolate among the Moslems will be successful in the measure that they preach Our Lady of Fatima.[18]

Louis de Montfort is considered by many as the greatest Marian evangelist of all time. Canonized as a Catholic Saint in 1947, Montfort made the following last day’s prediction:

The power of Mary over all devils will be particularly outstanding in the last period of time. She will extend the Kingdom of Christ over the idolators and Moslems, and there will come a glorious era in which Mary will be ruler and queen of human hearts.[19]

Catholic Saint Mary of Agreda – a visionary who received numerous messages from the apparition of Mary during the 17th century – wrote the massive classic entitled Mystical City of God. Her received Marian messages and her monumental book have received full approval from the Roman Catholic Church. Saint Mary of Agreda conveyed what was told to her about the last times:

Before the Second Coming of Christ, Mary must, more than ever, shine in mercy, might and grace in order to bring unbelievers into the Catholic Faith. The powers of Mary in the last times over demons will be very conspicuous. Mary will extend the reign of Christ over the heathens and Mohammedans, and it will be a time of great joy when Mary, as Mistress and Queen of Hearts is enthroned.[20]

Muslims venerate Mary

Today, an increasing number of Muslims make pilgrimages to Marian shrines. Arguably, the most popular apparition site that Muslims visit is the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal. Fatima was said to be Mohammad’s favorite daughter. Furthermore, Mohammad reportedly stated that Fatima has the highest place in heaven after the Virgin Mary.

The popular Catholic spokesman Archbishop Fulton Sheen believed that the “Blessed Virgin” chose to be known as “Our Lady of Fatima” as a pledge and a sign of hope to the Moslem people and as an assurance that they, who show her so much respect, will one day accept her Divine Son, too.[21]

Fatima may be the most famous Marian shrine where Muslims go to pray and pay homage to the Queen of Heaven, yet Fatima is hardly unique. In 2004, Reuters News Service wrote, in an article entitled Twist of globalization: All faiths come together, that Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and other pilgrims regularly worship at famous Roman Catholic shrines to the Virgin Mary. They drink holy water, light votive candles, and pray fervently to the Madonna. The article explains that many pilgrims venerate her like one of their own goddesses.[22]

Furthermore, in recent years apparitions of Mary have been reported in several Muslim nations including Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Turkey, and others. Veneration has increased as more and more claim that they have experienced a miracle at a Marian shrine.

Will the world, and in particular Muslims, soon receive the illumination that they need to unite under the Queen’s mantle? Fulton Sheen, in his chapter Mary and the Moslems, points to the Miracle of the Sun as the possible enlightenment that the apparition will use:

On October 13, 1917, believers and unbelievers prostrated themselves upon the ground during the Miracle of the Sun, most of them pleading to God for mercy and forgiveness. That whirling sun, which spun like a giant wheel and thrust itself to the earth as if it would burn it with its rays, may have been the harbinger of a world spectacle that will draw millions to their knees in a rebirth of faith. And as Mary revealed herself in that first Miracle of the Sun, so may we look forward to another revelation of her power when the world has its next rehearsal for the Dies Irae [Day of Wrath].[23]

Rapture or Martyrdom?

If the rapture comes after the Great Tribulation, then it will not be the Blessed Hope anymore. More like damned hope. I know post tribbers will say that even the early church was severely persecuted & suffered martyrdom without escape. But i want to say that the Great Trib is unlike any other persecution in times past. It is a terrible time to live in. There is no escape whatsoever. It is unprecendented in history.

Let me ask you a question. If u cannot even endure the persecution that u are going thru now, how can anyone possibly endure the Great Tribulation? Anyway, Jesus will not beat up His bride before the marriage supper! He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able to bear but will provide a way of escape so that we can bear the temptation. 1 Cor. 10:13 "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. " Is the Great Trib common to man? It isn't! So God will provide an escape for the faithful Christians! & God is faithful to us even when we are unfaithful at times. God understands what we are going thru in our daily lives. He knows our struggles. Dont give up!

Jesus taught us to pray in the Lord's prayer this: Matt. 6:13 "And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen." Yes, lead us NOT INTO TEMPTATION. I believe He is referring to the Great Trib also. So it's possible that one can be led into the Great Trib. So let's pray this prayer everytime so we wont be led into it or any temptation for that matter.

Some Christians around the world are already being martyred for their faith. I salute their faiths. May God also help us as we proceed towards the time of the end to endure for our faith & stay faithful to Him, even in the face of martyrdom.

The Powerful Delusion

From: www.gracethrufaith.com

Ikvot ha'Mashiach

Commentary by Jack Kelley

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. (2 Thes. 2:9-12)

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's mystical pre-occupation with the coming of a Shiite Islamic messiah figure - the Mahdi (divinely guided one) - is raising concerns that a nuclear-armed Iran could trigger the kind of global conflagration he believes will be necessary to set the stage for the Mahdi's return.

The Mahdi is said to have gone into "occlusion" in the year 941 AD, at the age of five. In other words he vanished, literally. Shiite Moslems believe he will reappear at the end of the Age. This reappearance will be preceded by cosmic chaos, war and bloodshed. After a cataclysmic confrontation with evil and darkness, the Mahdi will lead the world to an era of universal peace.

This is obviously similar to Christian eschatology. Indeed, the Hidden Imam, as he's also called, is expected to return in the company of Jesus. Iran's dominant "Twelver" sect believes the Mahdi will be Mohammed ibn Hasan, regarded as the 12th Imam, or righteous descendant of the Prophet Mohammad. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claims to have communicated with him.

Mr. Ahmadinejad believes that his main mission, as he recounted in a Nov. 16 speech in Tehran, is to "pave the path for the glorious reappearance of Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his reappearance." Some people working closely with Ahmadinejad believe this could happen within the next two years.

Portions of the above were excerpted from recent World Net Daily and UK Telegraph articles and give us a glimpse into the motivation underlying Iran's current hard line. But there's more.

"Signs and wonders" lie behind this messianic fervor. Listen as Ahmadinejad himself explains what happened during his recent speech at the UN. He recounts how he found himself bathed in light throughout the speech. But this wasn't the light directed at the podium by the U.N. and television cameras. It was, he said, a light from heaven.

"On the last day when I was speaking, one of our group told me that when I started to say 'Bismillah Muhammad,' he saw a green light come from around me, and I was placed inside this aura," he says. "I felt it myself. I felt that the atmosphere suddenly changed, and for those 27 or 28 minutes, all the leaders of the world did not blink. When I say they didn't move an eyelid, I'm not exaggerating. They were looking as if a hand was holding them there, and had just opened their eyes – Alhamdulillah!"

"Ahmadinejad's "vision" at the U.N. is strangely reminiscent and alarmingly similar to other statements he has made about his personal role in ushering in the return of the Shiite Muslim messiah," the reports conclude.

He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. (Daniel 9:27)

The Prophet Daniel spoke of a seven-year rule by one who brings about Earth's final judgment over 1000 years before Mohammed fashioned the religion we know as Islam. And as is the case with Shiite beliefs, Daniel's ruler apparently arrives on the heels of a great battle between the forces of good and evil as well. How else would he be able to use the promise of peace to deceive the world? (Daniel 8:25)

According to Revelation 13, this ruler and his false prophet force the world into a common religion, killing all who resist. Shiites agree, insisting the religion will be Islam, and that in the process all the Jews and Romans (Christians) will be put to death.

Good News And Bad News

The prophecies are similar to the point of being scary. In fact the only discernable difference lies in one fact. Whereas Daniel and other Biblical figures who prophesied of this coming ruler viewed him as the ultimate expression of evil, indwelt by Satan himself, Shiites see him as a force for good, ushering in a glorious age of worldwide Islamic rule.

This difference is the sprouting seed of the powerful delusion Paul spoke of in 2 Thes. 2:11. He said that during that last seven years the world will experience a total reversal of perception from that of its Judeo-Christian past. Consider these two passages from the Revelation as confirmation.

Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?"(Rev. 13:4) The dragon is Satan and the beast is the anti-Christ.

Men gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done. (Rev 16:10-11)

As they clearly show, the End Times world will worship Satan and curse God. This reversal of perception is the product of a heresy called the Luciferian Doctrine. Simply put it holds that Lucifer, the angel of light (in Latin, Lucifer means light bearer) is desperately trying to bring mankind through his final phase of evolution, the spiritual phase, into the Utopia he longs for, but is being thwarted in his efforts by the evil Adonay (from the Hebrew Adonai, which means Lord) who wants to destroy man. As you can see, it's the exact opposite of the truth.

This doctrine will permeate the One World religion of Daniel's 70th Week. Because of the dramatic manifestations of supernatural signs and wonders during that time, the last vestiges of the godless secular humanism will finally die. Satan, who during our age has been content with giving anyone but God credit for the Creation of Earth and Man, will begin demanding credit for himself. And having refused to love the truth, man, who needs to believe in someone greater than himself, will be fair game for this lie.

The Luciferian Doctrine explains the difference between Shiite eschatology and Bible Prophecy. The god of Islam is not the God of the Bible, after all, and besides man, there's only one other created being who aspires to be God.

"The days are coming," declares the Sovereign LORD, "when I will send a famine through the land— not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD." (Amos 8:11) The man who doesn't stand for something will fall for anything, the saying goes, so after the church disappears and the famine of God's word prophesied by Amos takes hold, there'll be a real longing for something to believe in on Earth. The Luciferian Doctrine will fit the bill nicely, especially when its two leading proponents, the anti-Christ and the False Prophet, will seem to have such supernatural power.

Mahmoud The Zealot

The introduction of religious zeal, counterfeit though it may be, into world events is the most dramatic proof since 1948 of the nearness of the end. In the final days of Communism, when folks thought Gorbachev was the anti-Christ, they overlooked the absence of this critical component. Coming from the perspective of the Modern Rationalism of the 50's, where God wasn't very real anymore, the godless Soviet enemy seemed sufficient to fulfill prophecy. And yet, the Bible speaks of powerful spiritual contention at the end. After all the final battle is fought and won in the spiritual realm. It just takes place on Earth. It's clear that the end of the age has to include intense, conflicting, spiritual components.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a religious zealot of the first magnitude. By his statements, it's clear that he believes his Mahdi is coming soon, and that he has been chosen to have his country ready to receive him. An old Islamic saying goes, "When the students are ready, the teacher will come." And he himself recently declared, "We don't shy away from declaring that Islam is ready to rule the world." A man with that kind of zeal, given the kind of power he has, will not hesitate to plunge the world into chaos to hasten the day of his lord.

For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. (2 Thes 2:7) But remember this, dear friends. Before the powerful delusion can truly take hold, the truth has to disappear. The repository for truth in this age is the church, so when these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." (Luke 21:28) If you listen closely, you can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah. 2-5-06
